#Intel's 1000 TB SSD
Hey everyone, we all are using storage devices from a long time & we all noticed that as technology updates our need of storage increases. We all started from Kb(s) & today we on Tb(s). In our laptops/desktops we are using HDD (hard disk drives) of 500Gb or 1 TB usually. Hard drives have been offering us decades of quiet and efficient service. As we know technology updates itself soon they will be replaced by the SSD (Solid State Drives) and their variants. But these SSD's are not so common as HDD, it is because they still carry a couple of handicaps: their storage capacity, and their price.
But, one of the most renowned tech brand Intel has been struggling to overcome the first limitation i.e Storage Capacity by creating a new rule-shaped SSD disk format, which can store 1 Petabyte data, i.e 1000 Terabytes or 1,000,000 GB. That’s equivalent to 300,000 hours of HD video, which a person would take 70 years to watch. OMG!!! 1,000,000 GB means storage problem is now like "What's That..."
Unfortunately, Intel hasn’t given us additional information on these Ruler SSDs, so we don’t know how much they will cost, when they will be available, or what type of connector they will use.

Intel's Ruler SSD |
The SSD drives are much faster, heat up less and are quieter than conventional hard drives, but have less capacity and are expensive.
However, ruler SSDs aren’t the only storage solutions that Intel is touting this week. It also has a new line of Dual Port SSDs on tap to replace SAS SSDs and HDDs. The drives feature dual SATA ports, allowing them to connect to two independent system simultaneously. The Dual Port SSDs are available today via the DC D4500, D4501 and D4600 Series, in capacities up to 7.68 TB. Dual Port versions of Optane Memory SSDs are sampling now and will be available during the fourth quarter.Unfortunately, Intel hasn’t given us additional information on these Ruler SSDs, so we don’t know how much they will cost, when they will be available, or what type of connector they will use.
So, what do you think about this new Solid State Disk (SSD) of Intel? Simply share your views and thoughts in the comment section below.
This is unique ;)
